The Football League has confirmed that Leicester City FC have signed former Liverpool and Manchester United player, Ricardo Perrier, on loan from the club.

Perrier is currently out with a shoulder injury and will be making his debut for the club in the league this weekend against Sheffield Wednesday.

He had previously played for Liverpool and Manchester United before moving to La Liga side Real Madrid in 2017.

In his first match as a professional, Perrier made four appearances and scored one goal for Real Madrid, helping them win the Copa del Rey.

He then moved to the Premier League with Liverpool in 2018, where he helped the team win the League Cup and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

However, he struggled to make an impact at the top flight and was released by Liverpool in January 2020.

Since then, Perrier has been involved in loan deals with other clubs including Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal.

His return to Leicester City comes after a period of rehabilitation and recovery time following a shoulder injury suffered during training sessions.

Leicester City have been without a permanent forward since the departure of Jamie Vardy in July 2021, and Perrier's arrival will provide much-needed stability to their squad.

The move could also give Perrier more opportunities to showcase himself in front of the Leicester faithful and earn him a regular place in the starting line-up.

It remains to be seen how long Perrier will stay with the club and whether he will continue to play for the club or if he decides to leave permanently.

Overall, Perrier's return to Leicester City is a positive development for the club and fans alike.
