Inter Milan has confirmed that the club has reached an agreement with striker Lautaro Martinez to extend his contract until June 2026.

The Argentine forward, who joined Inter from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, has made a significant impact since his arrival at the San Siro. He has scored 55 goals and provided 18 assists in just over two seasons for the Italian giants.

Martinez's contract was due to expire at the end of this month, but he has now signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026. The 24-year-old is expected to be a key player for Inter next season as they look to defend their Serie A title.

The news comes after Inter's impressive start to the season, which saw them win all six of their opening games. However, the club's form has dropped off slightly in recent weeks, and they currently sit third in the league table behind leaders Juventus and second-placed Napoli.

Despite the drop in form, Inter remain one of the most successful clubs in European football and have won four consecutive Serie A titles in the last five years. They also reached the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2019, losing out to Real Madrid.

With Martinez on board for another two years, Inter fans can expect even more success in the coming seasons. The forward has shown great potential and is already a key player for the team, so it will be exciting to see what he can achieve in the future.
